A rare green example of Tiffany Studios' Pastel line, produced under Louis Comfort Tiffany in the 1920s. The trumpet-form bowl rises from a narrow waist and flares to a wide rim, worked with subtle optic ribbing that catches and carries light down the body. The green is deepest at the base and softens toward the rim, where it thins into a milky opalescent edge — the hallmark of Tiffany's pastel formula.
The bowl sits on a wide, disc-shaped foot in white opalescent glass, ribbed and swirled, with a pinwheel of internal striations visible through the base. The contrast between the cool green bowl and the luminous white foot is what collectors look for in this line, and green is among the scarcer colors, well behind the more commonly seen amber, yellow, and pink.
Standing 5 inches tall. Hand-blown, with the light asymmetry and internal movement expected of the period.
