This magnificent footed centerpiece bowl is a superb example of Tiffany Studios' celebrated Pastel Favrile glass line, produced in the early twentieth century. Measuring approximately 16 inches in diameter, the bowl features a broad, shallow form with a gently undulating rim, rising from an elegant clear glass pedestal foot — a classic Tiffany Pastel form that emphasizes graceful proportions and luminous color.
The glass displays a stunning pale yellow opalescence across the wide flared rim, transitioning into soft blue and lavender iridescent tones toward the center well. The rim edge exhibits a delicate stippled or "orange peel" texture characteristic of the Pastel line, while the interior shimmers with Tiffany's signature iridescence — flashes of pink, gold, and blue that shift beautifully with changing light. Radiating ribs extend from the central well outward, adding subtle structure and depth to the design.
The underside of the foot is inscribed "L.C.T. Favrile" in script, along with the model number, confirming its authenticity as a product of Louis Comfort Tiffany's studios. The Pastel series, introduced in the 1910s and 1920s, represents some of Tiffany's most refined and sought-after art glass, prized for its delicate coloring and restrained elegance compared to the bolder Favrile pieces.
The bowl is in good condition consistent with age, with light surface wear. A rare and impressive example of American Art Nouveau glass at its finest, suitable as both a distinguished collector's piece and a breathtaking decorative accent.
