This exceptional Tiffany Studios art glass vase showcases the renowned Favrile technique in a striking Byzantine-inspired form. Standing 9 inches tall, the vase features a classical baluster shape with a flared cylindrical neck rising from broad shoulders that taper gracefully to a small iridescent foot.
The neck displays the coveted Tel el-Amarna decoration—an applied green glass zigzag vine motif interspersed with pulled golden amber leaf forms—set against a luminous gold iridescent ground. The body transitions from rich amber tones at the shoulder to deep reddish-brown hues, while the foot exhibits brilliant blue and gold iridescence characteristic of Tiffany's finest work.
The piece is signed on the underside "L.C.T." with the model number 8706 and inscribed "Favrile," confirming its authenticity as a product of Louis Comfort Tiffany's celebrated studios.
