A substantial whiskey decanter by Lalique in the Femmes Antiques pattern, designed by Marc Lalique in 1952. A frieze of neo-classical women wraps the body in frosted relief — draped in flowing garments, each figure set into its own recessed panel, heads bowed and robes falling in carved folds. It's the house at its most restrained and most classical: no ornament beyond the figures themselves, letting the satin-white relief read against a wall of clear crystal.

The form is oval rather than round, with softly sloping shoulders rising to a generous pouring neck and a flared collar. The base is flat-cut and heavy, giving the piece real weight and stability. Topping it is the original wrythen stopper — a frosted ball carved in a deep spiral twist, seated on a polished ground plug.

Roughly nine and a half inches tall with the stopper in place, holding around a quart. Equally at home on a bar cart in use or standing on its own as sculpture.

Signed Lalique France in engraved script to the flat base.
